Rotational exercises…they involve rotation of the core. I find much of Pilates is linear. Rotation can be as simple as holding a medicine or exercise ball out to the front and rotating the ball from side to side. Even better is taking the ball and making a large ‘X’ pattern—this involves very joint in the body. There are great rotational options using an exercise ball too! Your spine is meant to turn as you use arms and legs.🙂

Thank you.

I'm curious what rotational exercises you recommend.

All of the EGYM arm/shoulder exercises are linear.

The leg exercises involve either extending or flexing at the knee joint which seems to me to have a rotational component.

The abdominal and back exercises call for rotation around the hip joints.

For core I also do a Pilates class during which all manner of rotational things happen. Would those qualify?

When the mood strikes me I will run at full speed and slide on my socks across the pseudo-hardwood floor in my living room. I suspect that helps mobility.

Interesting assessment of your experience. Thanks for sharing! My exercise expertise would recommend rotational exercise for core strength and mobility. Wonder if the circuit machines include any rotational movements???

Wish I could have one of these near me. Regardless of how objective the age numbers are, the machines appear to provide good feedback in multiple important facets of fitness.

Is it possible they are being disingenuously flattering to keep you engaged in the program? Me thinks you’re not skeptical enough.
